Mr. Pham Duc Long appointed Chairman of VNPT's member council
On June 12th, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc issued Decision No. 818 / QĐ / TTg appointing Mr. Pham Duc Long as Chairman of the Members' Council of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).
Accordingly, Mr. Pham Duc Long is the Head of Member Council, General Director of VNPT Group and Chairman of VNPT Group Member Council under a fixed-term appointment since the signing date of the decision.
Mr. Pham Duc Long took up the post as Chairman of VNPT's Member Council, after Mr. Tran Manh Hung, former Chairman of Board of Members retired from November 1st, 1919.
Mr. Pham Duc Long was born in 1970, holds a PhD in electronics and telecommunications in Japan, and served as Deputy Director and Director of VNPT Ho Chi Minh City.
In January 2014, Mr. Pham Duc Long was appointed Deputy General Director and in April 2015, was appointed General Director of VNPT Group. Mr. Pham Duc Long has also been appointed the head of the group's party committee and has taken charge of VNPT’s member council after the former Chairman of Board of Members Mr. Tran Manh Hung retired in November 2019.
VNPT is currently the largest provider of fixed broadband service and the second largest provider of mobile service across the country. Simultaneuosly, VNPT is provider of information technology solutions, e-government and smart city for the Government, ministries, and most cities and provinces in Vietnam.
