VNPT Technology lands a helping hand to the communities and accompanies frontline nurses and doctors fighting COVID-19

Recently, although the Covid-19 epidemic in Vietnam has been controlled, the world epidemic situation is still very complicated. In that context, accompanying the Government and the social community, VNPT Technology, in addition to maintaining production and business activities and fully implementing measures to prevent and control the epidemic, the company also participates in many activities. joining hands with the community to repel the disease.

Accordingly, on the morning of April 18, 2020, the Trade Union of VNPT Technology Company visited the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases (Campus 2) in Dong Anh, Hanoi, where most positive patients in the country are being treated. Representative of VNPT Technology Company, Mr. Pham Anh Quan - Vice President of Trade Union handed over 100 million VND to Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach - Director of the Central Tropical Hospital to promptly mobilize medical teams and doctors who are all dedicated people that will try their hardest to cure the patients despite themselves being exposed to Covid-19 and at very high risk of contagion. With this action, VNPT Technology wishes to contribute to the national anti-epidemic work as well as to support doctors and nurses on the front line against epidemics.

Also on the morning of April 18, the Youth Union of VNPT Technology Company organized an activity to donate 1.5 tons of rice to the National Front Committee of Cau Giay District, in order to support those affected by the disease. On behalf of the Youth Union of VNPT Technology Company, Mr. Tran The Hung - Secretary of the Union gave Mr. Mai Quy Dan - Vice Chairman of the Committee of Fatherland Front of Cau Giay District a total of 1.5 tons of additional rice to put to the rice ATMs machine, in order to promptly deliver them to people in difficult circumstances, who came in a very crowded queue from early in the morning at Nghia Tan Stadium, Cau Giay District to receive rice for relief.

Right from the beginning of the epidemic season, implementing the guidelines of the Party, the State, the Directive of the Ministry of Information and Communications as well as thoroughly grasping the spirit of the Prime Minister, the National Committee for epidemic prevention, the Ministry of Health, in order to strengthen effective prevention and control measures, VNPT Technology has actively developed plans to respond to each level of Covid-19 disease at the unit. VNPT Technology and its member companies quickly established the Department for prevention and control of epidemics.

With the aim of ensuring the health of officials and employees, preventing the spread of epidemics, the epidemic prevention and control work is properly and strictly implemented in accordance with the regulations of the health sector. Specifically, all employees and visitors working at the company must measure the required temperature. The company also issued 3 times of medical masks and 1 antibacterial cloth mask that can be used for all employees and required to be worn in elevators, public places, and crowded places. Employees are also required to wash their hands frequently with antibacterial soap / water, maintaining the distance of 2m on contact. Periodically, the company's working offices are cleaned with chloramine B disinfectant solution. From March 23, 2020, to reduce the staff density at the company but still ensures work efficiency, VNPT Technology has allowed 30% - 50% of employees to work online at home.

The battle against Covid-19 may be long-lasting, but with the spirit of solidarity, the good leaves protecting the torn leaves and leaving no one behind, VNPT Technology Company not only takes practical preventive measures to protect workers, but also always work together with the community, firmly and with the whole country to overcome this pandemic.
